- Rainer Maria Rilke
Art therapy is a unique branch of psychotherapy, which involves the use of wide variety of art materials, such as paint, charcoal and pastels for self-expression and reflection.
You don’t need to have artistic talents to benefit from art therapy, as it is about self-expression and not about the talent! These images are then discussed and explored in the presence of a trained art therapist. Often, through the exploration of these images, the client has the opportunity to express complex thoughts and feelings that they would otherwise find hard to express.
Art therapy can serve as a springboard for the exploration of personal issues, which get in the way of living a full and satisfying life.
