Louise Boisvert
Counselor
Criminology, being a mix of psychology and sociology, can offer a different point of view on our way of life, and allow us to find alternative solutions to our problems. As a criminologist, I can offer a different perspective to those who feel the need to logically rationalize the therapeutic process.
My professional experiences have offered me a very unique understanding of the legal system, youth protection services, and the oppression of marginalized groups. I have been able to both learn, and teach communication skills, that can be adapted to any level of comprehension. I also have a passion for sharing new and creative ways to help individuals with different lifestyle needs, such as those with ADHD, to deal with their day-to-day struggles.
I can help you understand and contextualize your emotions, as well as understand the effects of your past trauma on your current relationships. Whether it is with solution oriented therapy, Cognitive Behavioral Therapy, or with a mindfulness approach, every session will be viewed through an empathetic and humanistic lens.
