Dr. Daria Karbainova
Psychologist
I am a clinical psychologist who specialises in the treatment of psychological distress (e.g., depression, anxiety, unhelpful patterns of behaviour, grief), as well as in health psychology for medical conditions (e.g., cancer diagnosis, living with HIV). Depending on your profile and struggles, we may work on challenging unhelpful thinking, mindfulness techniques, emotion regulation, dialectical perspectives, and explore values. Above all, treatment decisions are made collaboratively, in a manner that focuses on your needs, by evaluating your emotional and behavioural responses, core beliefs, coping strategies, and history.
It has been said that, “If you have your why for life, you can get by with almost any how” (Nietzsche, 1889). I believe that, through the use of specific tools, the broadening of our knowledge, and by exploring what gives us purpose, we can work towards making meaningful change in our lives. I would be honoured to help you on that journey.
